Charleston Locals Take on Super Bowl Sunday
○ This year’s game will take place at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, FL. Kickoff for the San Francisco 49ers vs. Kansas City Chiefs is at 6:30 p.m. At halftime: Shakira + Jennifer Lopez
○ This is the first Super Bowl for the Chiefs since 1970. It breaks the longest drought between Super Bowls for any team
○ The San Francisco 49ers reached the Super Bowl after losing just four games last season. The only other team to accomplish this was the 1999 St. Louis Rams

○ Super Bowl Sunday is the second-largest food consumption day of the year, with Thanksgiving being the largest
○ Last year, 325.5 million gallons of beer were consumed for Super Bowl LIII
○ The National Chicken Council reported that Americans consumed more than 1.38 billion chicken wings for last year’s game
