It is rare in one's life that you meet a professional who truely cares about a client beyond potential compensation earned. Carolyn was able to take a near impossible task of fulfilling a dream for me and my partner, Richard McQueen, of owning our home and make it a reality. I realize that the house we purchased did not earn anyone involve a large sum of money and, after calculating hours spent, most likely earned below minimum wage, but what was earned in goodwill was priceless.

As I sit in my cute little apartment here on James Island, I have a moment to reflect on the past year and a half. Going through almost 3 years of programs with BOA was stressful. Trying to keep myself from foreclosure was my goal and I felt I did everything BOA asked of me. I wanted to keep my home. I worked hard for my home and loved it. However, BOA denied permanently modifiying my loan after being in their modification program for a over a year. Moving on to a short sale option was what they offered me instead of forclosure. I had never missed a payment. I will never understand why they denied me, but its done.

Moving on and being referred to you, Marshall, by Rick Brownyard was the best recommendation! I came to you in despair and you turned my despair into a hopeful out for me. You went beyond the call of duty on many occassions and I am eternally grateful for your kindness, understanding, and willingness to explain things I didn't understand. You took the burden off my shoulders and handled BOA for me. You were relentless in keeping BOA on track with the HAFA program I was in, making sure every detail was handled in a timely manner.

In early 2011 I decided it was a good time to start looking for a home and was very fortunate that the first property I was interested in had Carolyn Dubrofsky as the listing agent.  Carolyn spent a great deal of time and effort finding and showing me the "deal" properties that I demanded of her.  My price range dictated mostly condos in the areas I was interested in, but what I finally settled on was a single family "fixer" home that had fallen into foreclosure in a very central and convenient area of Charleston.  Carolyn's legal background and follow-through attitude were invaluable in jumping through all the hoops required to finally close on this foreclosure property, a daunting experience in many ways.  I finally ended up with a very good deal that is blossoming into a cozy home with income potential and built-in equity for the future.  Without Carolyn's help I am doubtful that this closing would have happened and I am thankful that she was there for me every step of the way.  Carolyn would be the first person I'd call if I were looking for another property to buy, which is very tempting in this excellent buyer's market that is evolving today.  Thanks Carolyn!!

Although the Market was slow, the Agency held a number of open house days which generated a good amount of interest and traffic. The home was placed under contract and sold in just over 3 months. Marshall was in touch regularly on the pertinent issues and resolved all problems in concert with the Buyers agent very quickly. I would certainly use the Agency again
