Marrington Elementary
Marrington Elementary, located in Goose Creek, originally opened its doors in 1979 and has quite a fascinating history since then, like serving as a shelter from Hurricane Hugo in 1989. As an interesting side note: many time capsules have been buried around the school grounds and one time capsule is actually encased in the wall of room 403.
Today, the school serves students in kindergarten through 5th grade and offers all the basic class required for educational advancement. They do, however, also offer art classes and a music program since both often relate to language arts, science, history and math.
