After four years of controversy and changing plans, Charleston County has rolled out a new concept to improve the densely traveled S.C. Highway 41 in Mount Pleasant. They're calling this, “a road to compromise.”
It’s a $148 million plan that drops some of the most controversial parts of the last concept — the earlier proposed widening of Dunes West Boulevard — and a complex new interchange at U.S. Highway 17 and Highway 41.
